Oral History Editathon

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library 901 G Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States

Dive into the history of our city and revive decades' worth of oral histories from the DC Public Library's Special Collections. Participants in this three-hour hands-on class will learn about interview logging and practice the basics of audio editing using Audacity, an open-source software. A laptop and headphones will be provided, but we also invite you to bring your own equipment. By the end of the course, every participant will produce a short piece to share. This class is provided in partnership with the DC Public Library.
