Underwrite WOWD

To Underwrite/Sponsor WOWD is to offer financial support in exchange for on-air recognition of your business/organization. It is a cost-effective alternative to advertising, and it precisely targets your customers: listeners who are well-informed, involved members of the District community.

WOWD sponsors the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. The Washington Post named WOWD “The Best Radio in DC”, and City Paper readers named us “2nd Best Radio Station” (after powerhouse WAMU).

  • One month of underwriting is $150 (at least 5 announcements per week between 8am-10pm)

  • Non-profits receive a 10% discount

  • Additional discounts are given for 3-month (or more) contracts

Contact us at TRex@TakomaRadio.org to underwrite exceptional community programming and align yourself with our mission to build bridges and promote understanding.
