WHAT'S NEW?!

It's been a busy summer at WOWD, with new shows coming onboard.

The biggest change is to our Wednesday lineup. In addition to MY TINY MORNING SHOW with NPR's Bob Boilen airing every Wednesday morning from 8-9 AM, we've now got two shows of soul and funk music sharing the Wednesday night 8-10 PM slot: the brand new NIGHT OUT, hosted by Jon Fiah Ali, alternating with the returning SOUL SONIC, hosted by Alpha Betts and DJ Mezla.

Late Tuesday nights on WOWD now feature the abstract electronic/folk sounds of TANGLED LEISURE with DJ Meddo, alternating in the 11:30 PM -1 AM time slot with THE JOURNEY.

Sunday, August 29 marks the debut of DERANGEMENT OF THE SENSES: JAZZ FROM LATE 30s-EARLY 60s, a biweekly 11 PM-1 AM program hosted by Clay Fink.

WHAT YEAR IS THIS with Brandon Wetherbee starts airing every Thursday from 2-3 PM as of September 2, with HOT SAUCE LOUNGE following with 3-4 PM. Each episode of Brandon's show will be devoted to music from a single year.

Wait! There's more. A few other new shows are slated to join the WOWD broadcast schedule later in September. Stay tuned to 94.3 FM or TakomaRadio.org
