It's a high school nostalgia pop-up special marathon!

Friday the 13th is your lucky day: for six straight hours, we’ll have DJs spinning pop-up specials, going back in time and playing the songs they fell in love with in high school.

First up from 10am to Noon, Lis brings us to the early Nineties with R.E.M., New Order, The Smithereens and more. Then from Noon to 2pm, Steve plays blues artists he first encountered in school in the late Sixties: Sonny Terry, Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, etc.

From 2 to 3pm, Ed runs through the best of early Nineties alternative, with classics from Tori Amos, Concrete Blonde and Jane's Addiction. Finally, Heather spins Billboard Top 100 hits from the early Eighties, along with some sentimental selections like tracks from Pink Floyd’s “Meddle” — an album she used to play in full every single night.

Tune in from 10am to Noon on Friday, September 3th, and look out for more pop-up high school specials throughout September to usher in the new school year.
