WOWD's New Stream

They say "don't change horses mid-stream."

Well, WOWD isn't changing horses, but we are changing streams. Our internet stream, that is. It's now being provided by a third party, which specializes in that sort of thing!

If you access WOWD online through the PLAY button on our website, or through TuneIn, the switch to the new stream is automatic. But if you have saved our old streaming URL to a media player on your computer, you'll need to change it. The new stream URL is https://wowd.broadcasttool.stream/stream.

We thank David Klann of Broadcast Tool & Die and our own IT engineer Matt Toigo for facilitating the change.

STUART MOORE STUDIO

WOWD / Takoma Radio’s broadcast studio is now known as the STUART MOORE STUDIO, in honor of our beloved IT engineer, who passed away in December after a long battle with cancer.

Stuart joined the WOWD Tech Team in 2015. He set up our streaming, archives, air check, and automation system and worked behind the scenes for years maintaining and improving our sound.

His work for WOWD is the culmination of a lifelong love of radio.
