Join Talk of Takoma’s Eric Bond for a series of forums with candidates for Takoma Park’s City Council and Mayor’s seats.

Forums will take place at the City of Takoma Park Municipal Building, 7500 Maple Ave, and they will be simulcast by Takoma TV. Please send any questions you have for the candidates to talk@takoma.com.

The 3rd annual Down in the Reeds Music Festival returns to The Parks at Walter Reed on Saturday, October 8th from 11AM to 7PM.

This daylong free fall music festival celebrates the power of music to heal across culture and community, featuring two stages of live music performances, workshops, and panels, along with

interactive musical activations, family art, games, curated art vendors and makers, delicious

local food trucks and local breweries and beverage companies.

Headliners are Red Baraat, The Medicine Singers with Yonatan Gat.

WOWD’S Jon Fiah Ali (The Night Out) emcees the Arts Plaza Stage.
