WOWD POP-UP SPECIALS

Tune in to pop-up specials during our week-long year-end fund drive, beginning Friday, December 2!

We welcome Weasel back to the WOWD studios on Friday, Dec 2 to talk with Marika and Steve about the past, present, and future of community radio from 11 'til noon.

Also on Friday, tune in for hour-long day-time specials:

10 AM - Olivia highlights WOWD’s Music Library,

12PM - Michael Hart plays waltzes

1 PM - Clay plays music from 100 years ago, 1922

2 PM - Becky plays songs about radio

3 PM - Raton Rockero features women of rock en espanol

Sunday December 4, we've got a Broadway matinee with Peter and Maureen at 3pm.

Next Tuesday, DJ Bookish will do an hour of all 45s at 2, followed by Scandinavian music with Charlie Pilzer at 3.

And on Thursday December 8th, a special edition of The Infinite Number of Monkeys Show at 6.

DOWN IN THE REEDS

The 3rd annual Down in the Reeds Music Festival returns to The Parks at Walter Reed on Saturday, October 8th from 11AM to 7PM.

This daylong free fall music festival celebrates the power of music to heal across culture and community, featuring two stages of live music performances, workshops, and panels, along with

interactive musical activations, family art, games, curated art vendors and makers, delicious

local food trucks and local breweries and beverage companies.

Headliners are Red Baraat, The Medicine Singers with Yonatan Gat.

WOWD’S Jon Fiah Ali (The Night Out) emcees the Arts Plaza Stage.
