WOWD is a proud media sponsor of the Home Rule Music Festival, a celebration of DC's vibrant music and culture.
The Festival kicks off Friday June 16 with performances at Songbyrd DC, followed by all-day family-friendly festivities at the Parks at Walter Reed on Saturday June 17. It ends the following Saturday, June 24, with a show at the Black Cat.

On a special edition of The Musical Traditions Encounter this Sunday (4/9) from 5-7 PM, David Eisner welcomes members of Spælimenninir into the WOWD studios.
Spælimenninir plays traditional and contemporary folk music from Scandinavia on fiddle, recorder, piano, guitar, mandolin, acoustic bass and vocals.
The group’s home base is the Faroe Islands, but its members include Danes and Americans (including Tonal Park’s Charlie Pilzer).
The Institute of Musical Traditions presents them in concert on Monday (4/10) at the Silver Spring Civic Building.
