Celebrate HISPANIC HERITAGE on WOWD

Many WOWD programs join the celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month by spotlighting a wide variety of Latin music. ¡No te pierdas!

-- SOUL SONIC RADIO plays Latin Soul (Wed. Sept. 20 at 8 PM)

-- ROBIN'S RADIO SHOW (Sat. Sept. 23 at 8 AM)

- SOUND OF SOUL WITH D'NICOLE features classic R&B songs in Spanish and Hispanic artists singing R&B (Sun. Oct. 15 at 7 PM)

TAKOMA PARK FOLK FEST 2023

The Takoma Park Folk Festival (TPFF) returns to Takoma Park Middle School and the adjacent Lee Jordan Field on Sunday, September 10.

There will be 6 stages (indoors and outdoors), craft vendors, and food trucks.The Festival runs 10:30 am to 6:30 pm.

WOWD is a media sponsor.

Josh Korr (from TPFF performers DC Sing-Along) will be live in the WOWD studio Thursday August 31 during Musical Remedies with the Night Nurse (7-9 PM). 

TPFF performer Drew Gibson and TPFF program chair Debby St Charles will be WOWD's guests on Tuesday Sept. 5 during the Tuesday Morning Mix (8-10 AM).

WOWD presents an hour-long special Festival preview Sunday Sept. 3 at 1 PM, featuring recordings from various TPFF artists.
