Thank you to our listeners for your support!
Consider including a bequest to WOWD / Takoma Radio in your will or trust. It’s easy, important, and flexible, allowing you to continue providing support for radio you believe in.
You can choose to designate a particular sum or percentage of your estate to WOWD, and if your financial situation changes, you can always modify your bequest. As a bonus, bequests are exempt from estate taxes in most states.
Here’s some sample language you can use:
“I give the sum of _________ dollars ($______.00) to Takoma Radio Inc, P.O. Box 11464, Takoma Park MD 20913, for its general purposes.”
“I give ____ percent ( __%) of my estate to Takoma Radio Inc, P.O. Box 11464, Takoma Park MD 20913, for its general purposes.”
If you’ve already prepared a will but wish to add WOWD to your list of beneficiaries, there’s no need to re-write the entire document. Your attorney can help you prepare a short amendment to your will, called a codicil, which will add the new provision. Similarly, your attorney can help you write up a short amendment to your trust to add WOWD.
If you have any questions or would like more information about making a bequest to WOWD, please email trex@takomaradio.org.
