WOWD: RUNNING INTERFERENCE

In 2015, the FCC gave Historic Takoma permission to build a community radio station using 94.3FM. Takoma Radio (WOWD-LP) went on the air in July 2016. Our antenna is a modest metal affair atop Victory Tower that sends 20 watts of goodwill to 250,000 potential listeners in the DMV. On Labor Day 2017, we noticed interference on our frequency. The source is WCTN, now test broadcasting a Top 40 mix from an antenna in Potomac.
