Meet WOWD Program Director: Steve Hoffman

Steve Hoffman has served WOWD as a show host, Programming Committee member, and operations director. We are very pleased to welcome Steve to his new role as WOWD's Program Director. 

A native New Yorker, Steve moved to DC in 1980 and to Takoma Park in 1992.  He's a local radio icon with decades of experience. Steve hosted blues shows on WPFW (2002-2017) and WDCU (1982-1997.) On WOWD, he hostsTuesday Morning Mix (Tues. 8-10am) and Blues Hall of Fame (alt. Tues. 6-8pm.)

“I love everything about Takoma Radio,” says Steve. “The quality and diversity of our programs, and the positive vibe among programmers and listeners.” He adds that the Program Director job represents the “culmination of my lifetime love affair with radio.”
